Rabbits on the Farm

We have 3 different breeds of rabbits here on our farm. We started out with New Zealands, then got into the Holland Lops, and finally we are starting to get into Standard Rex rabbits! They all bring something different to the homestead and they all are very special!

We also transport rabbits currently! Head on over to our High Pines Homestead Rabbit Transport Facebook group for more information on runs we are making and rabbits available!

New Zealand

New Zealand rabbits are well known for being bred as meat rabbits. However, ours actually make perfect pets as well. They are all very sweet and love human interaction. Whether you're looking for meat or a pet or are a breeder these rabbits are perfect!

Holland Lops

Holland Lops are our pet/breeder rabbits. They are normally very small so you wouldn't want to buy one for meat! They are tiny creature and have ears that "lop" down. They actually lose control of the muscles in their ears so they just fall down to their sides! They have cute little smudgy faces. You just wanna squeeze them!

Standard Rex

Standard Rex are beautiful rabbits. They are well known for their fur which is very soft and velvety. They are raised for fur, meat, pets, and breeders. They can grow to be very big and can weigh anywhere from 7 to 11 lbs! They are big teddy bears and just overall a very beautiful breed!
